A carefully developed material-composition supports the precise manufacturing and the refined flight characteristics of the ultralight flying objects.

Still, the basis is and remains the new, unique flight concept of the synergetic zero wind kite.

The sail

Most of the kites have a sail made of Icarex®, a polycarbonate coated polyester fabric. The material is uv-stable, abrasion-resistant, dimensionally stable and comes in many colors.

The kites are ultra light.

dyneema composite fabric

Some of them are made of translucent Spectra-Laminate and are even lighter. There are compact kites and the Hyperlight series. Today, the official brand of the light laminate is Dyneema Composite Fabric®.

We have been using this beautiful material for 15 years, for the whole sail or selective reinforcements. Unfortunately the manufacturer DSM raised the prices spectacularly, so our Dyneema laminate kites are expensive.

The frame

Carbon tubes and rods

The frames are generally made of precisely tuned pultruded carbon tubes or, on the smaller models, of virtually unbreakable carbon solid rods.

The classic wing designs have telescopically inserted, flexible wing tips made of either unbreakable wrapped fiberglass or wafer-thin carbon.

Tapered carbon tubes

"the long way home" is kept in shape by hand-wrapped tapered carbon tubes, called "skyshark". In production we use the lightest "2pt" versions in two lengths.

Accessories

Tube

The sturdy black dustproof Tube™ protects your kite on the road and initially while shipping. The diameter is 50 mm = 2 inches, lengths from 300 mm = 1 foot to about 1.10 m = roughly 3.5 feet.

All kites come in tubes, made in Switzerland from hdpe.

Stabilizer

For "de tomaso superleggera", "de tomaso volante" and "the urban ninja", there's a Stabilizer™ available, good at high flights on a long line in stronger wind.

Flying line

Light, low-stretch Dyneema lines in 3 gradations and short or long, please order separately with your kite.

The graphics on the shop page show the front of the kites scaled to each other. While real active flying though, they will glide in level flight or soar through flatspins. Only in static flights with some wind, they will look like shown with the objective orthogonal graphics.

Kites directly from the inventor

Our synergetic zero-wind kites are the first and only featuring the X-Y-Z-Line variable 3d spreader configuration. They established the new genre of single line kite flying without wind and made it popular all over the world.

Only hq-Invento (hq hybrid 130-200-240) and Volango-Kitewalker (zero 1.1 and urban ninja 93) owned a license for some time to implement some of this innovative technology. All other similar looking kites without our trademark are unauthorized copies.

The design of our kites is protected. The X-Y-Z-Line™ variable 3d-Spreader™ configuration was invented by the Kite-Lab™ in 2002 and are our intellectual property.

Also the Stabilizer™, the Microwinder™, the zero.124™ reel, the zero.125™ reel, and the black Tube™ of course. Spectra-Laminate™ is our own timeless naming for Dyneema Composite Fabric, formerly called "cuben fiber".
